I’ve sometimes been drawn to partial, faceless, anonymous pictures of people – pictures within portraits perhaps – and the subject of this shot is certainly the necklace, not the person. 

The bold patterning of her blouse enhances the shot, and the soft focus, coarse grain and intentionally unnatural tint help stress its non-representational intention.
