As always, the Natural World, nothing beats it – and with a touch of lens flare left in just to annoy those who think such things important …ย ๐
Click onto the “early morning” tag (below) to see more images from the early hours of the day.ย
Click onto the image to open a larger version in a separate window – certainly recommended.
Technique: TG-5 at 100mm (equiv); 800 ISO; spot metering; Lightroom, starting at the Modern 03 profile; south Bristol; 11 Sept 2020.

That’s a very good move – is the camera you’ve bought the TG-6, the newer version? Or another make altogether? If it is the TG-6, then these points may be useful – (1) I always shoot raw; (2) GPS logging is always off; (3) I use A = aperture priority, and have C1 set up to give me spot metering; (4) pressing the OK button is set up to take me into ISO, so that I can adjust ISO quickly. If you have any questions, I’m happy to help. Oh yes, the tiny “manual” that comes with the camera is v basic – I’ve downloaded the full version from Olympus and printed it off. ๐

Another twilight treat, with a complementary gull. What a nice start to the day.
