Nice! Looks a bit ‘steampunk’!
What do you think about the tier 3 restriction for Bristol; did you expect it?

Well, balletic and parasol are now followed, and in considerable style I have to say, by steampunk! Wunnerful, just wunnerful, a true cornucopia of expression! π
As to Tier 3, I’m relieved, for two reasons. First, our two largest hospitals are already full – and these are hospitals that North Somerset (also in T3) also relies upon. And secondly I think that only stringent measures will work with covid – and that our “government” has made a speciality of instigating measures that do not go far enough. There is a quite remarkable tussle between the economy and human lives, and for me the lives must come first every time.

Interesting re Bristol’s hospitals. Yes – I think the lockdowns have to be strict otherwise what’s the point. There’s far too much whining and moaning from various people and businesses, and the amount of people wanting to find ways of getting around the rules really gets my goat!
The Wales gov have just announced some stricter measures coming in next week – mainly hospitality and indoor entertainment to close. As you probably are aware, Welsh hospitals struggle at the best of times, and they are all getting very full now.

VERY much agree with you re all the whining and moaning, and the rule evading. But the stats (assuming they’re reported accurately, that is …) are the bottom line, against which no one can argue.
