Drinks on the table, and now we await the food. Two drinks, soda water with ice and lemon for the more sensible, civilised and sober of the two diners, and something else for … well … the other one …

Ah. Stella. I drank many a pint of that with my late father in the 70/80s. Prost!

Yes, prost! LOL! I suppose I’m a bit of a beer snob, having got into world class beers a long time back – my tipples of choice are Belgian – Duvel and its recent triple-hopped incarnation, and the two from the Westmalle brewery, and the 11.3% Rochefort. None of these beers are for quaffing – unless you want to end up on your back! But they are delicious.
But actually, with food, pints of cold Stella are very nice too. 🙂

Thanks, Dave. The thing about the TG-5 is that, having such a small sensor, it produces large depths of focus and near-focus >>> not at all the camera for blurred backgrounds / bokeh, but very useful for pics like this.
At this very close range, the Pepsi glass is faintly blurred, which makes the Stella glass stand out more as the picture’s main subject.. It is as if the two glasses are coming over to see us, with the Stella glass foremost and leaning forward to say something. Adrian
