Interesting edges, all butting up against one another – that was a good spot! And the colors have a nice analog look.

Yes, its the masses and their edges; think I increased colour saturation a little too. Not feeling 100% at present: have a cold which seems to have done its thing and now to be coming back to do it all over again! A π

Don’t worry about making sense in the comments with me, it’s fine! π That’s a lousy feeling, dealing with a cold – hope it fades away quietly.

I like the blockiness here and the contrast between dark and light!

Yes, huge blocks of edifices, hemming the car in – glad it gets to you, M! π

Michael, thank you very much! This is a set of large, looming shapes; claustrophobic, and all of them straight sided apart from the car; I thought it important to retain some detail in the shadowed brickwork on the left rather than it being featureless black like that on the right. A

The fact that these are all carefully considered decisions is what I like the most. The fact that I agree with the decisions is icing on the cake.

That’s good to hear! I don’t always make many such decisions at the capture stage, but rather point the camera at something that looks good, frame it up in the viewfinder/screen, and press the button. If things look promising, I often take several; and maybe leave some space around the periphery for processing adjustments. This TG-5 camera is good for this – amongst other things, the screen has a useful set of 2×2 grid lines.

Yes, with regard to all photography, I think, that is the real bottom line. It is the final image that matters. Very good to hear your thoughts, Michael. A

Hahaha!!! >>> well its autumn and the sap is probably rising, though at the moment the only evidence of this is a streaming cold, from which large amounts of medicinal whisky provide some relief! π π π
