SOMERSET LEVELS 368 – JOGGER (MONO)

Morning run amongst the flowers and lush growth of early summer, on the northern edge of Tealham Moor.Β The farm behind has prudently been built on the slightly rising ground above the moor, well out of the way of flooding.

(I’ve had to start a new comment thread). For an example of your smileys coming out as punctuation, look at the comment you made on my ‘A Lover of Clover’ post.

Ah, the reason for that is that I’ve failed to leave a gap between the A and the smiley >>> ie A:) instead on A π . My friend, thank you for going to all this trouble >>> pretty sure there’s something wrong with my WP but I’ll just stop using smileys – what about kisses instead??? Or is that too provocative????????????????????? π

My friend, if you want to swap smileys for kisses in comments and replies to your blogging buddies, feel free …….. as long as the chaps don’t mind π π

What an idyllic place to jog! I like the details in the house: the stones, the roof tiles and the skylights.

Yes, absolutely, it would be wonderful to live within walking distance of here, and just be able to wander off into it whenever – by car, its about an hour from my front door if the traffic is behaving itself. π

Yes – wandering by walking into it would be grand; jogging, on the other hand …….. another inelegant activity π π

Ooh, I just have to say, I love that Harrie is into the Duval now; brilliant …… really makes me smile π

Oh he’s been into Duvel for ages, possibly longer than me in fact >>> we’re both totally pickled and there is something eminently reassuring about that … π π π .. a sort of common, in only blurrily perceived, bond …..

π π π >>>>> oh yes, QUESTION >>> when I type smiley faces like these, do they appear as such on your screen >>> on my PC, all these symbols appear as little boxes!!! But in my WP Reader they’re smileys!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just checked and your smileys look like the following on my laptop π

Oh, no – this is going to get confusing. That smiley I just used looks normal – as do most of yours, but on my laptop sometimes your smileys come out simply as a colon and a closing bracket – pure punctuation marks rather than the conversion to the yellow smiley.

A very nice composition. I have walked many miles over hill and dale carrying two cameras and have never regretted it.

Thank you, Michael. But, as to walking far with two cameras, well I’m not as young as I was – but, having said that, adding the X-T2 + w/a zoom is not adding a huge weight or bulk – but I can’t see me doing that if any do any more photography in the city centre,. A π

Well understood and appreciated. I often look at photography as its own built-in exercise program.

Yes, that’s a very valid viewpoint.

An awful lot of detail, everywhere; you must be happy with your Z6. π

Yes, I am very happy with the Z 6, Harrie, very much so, absolutely certainly. And this is a picture taken using its APS-C facility, so this is only a 10MP file, rather than the full frame 24MP.
I’m not sure I would do this if walking long distances, tho being mad I just might(!!!), but when driving down to the Somerset Levels now I take the Fujifilm X-T2 with a very wide angle zoom, and the Z 6 with a telezoom: this combination works wonderfully, making for a very wide breadth of photographic potential, without the need for any lens changes.
