OUTER SUBURBS 116 – BREAKFAST IN THE OUTER SUBURBS

.

Lifestyle suggestion: Scottish salmon fillet, cod fillet and prawn, Thai style fishcakes with fresh kiwi fruit, strawberries and melon, and cooked tomatoes, along with seafood sauce and sauce béarnaise.  And all washed down with mugs of hot, strong tea.

Sets me up for my six mile daily walks >>> its a FATman thing!

I lived in Kenya long ago, and developed a great liking for very tasty curries covered in fresh fruit, nuts, chutneys, pickles, etc., all washed down with Kenya Breweries’ Tusker Premium lager – I used to think of them as taste explosions – and to some extent this meal mirrors this, with the combination of spicy fishcakes, fresh fruit and tangy sauces – absolutely delicious!   Such breakfasts are highly recommended >>>>>>  and especially so in view of the fact that, these days, the emergency services are never more than one short (and quite possibly desperate) phone call away …

  1. That looks very posh! What a treat for the eyes – so fresh looking. And those fishcakes with the strawberries on top – well ………. they remind me of ‘Madeleine’ cakes and what they are said to represent; nudge nudge wink wink 🙂 🙂

    • Posh???!!! Well let me enlighten you, un petit peu, ma cherie >>> this plate of posh nosh is sitting in a little, cleared enclave on a table top that is otherwise totally covered in cameras, lenses and other photographic paraphernalia, and also lots of paper too – such is the power of the camera to deceive! 😉

And HUGELY LOVE “nudge nudge wink wink” >>> but can this be emanating from the Meanderer that I know and love so well??? And, remember, this is a wholesome, wholehearted, wholesale, wholemeal blog – lots of roughage … most of which is me … 😉 ….

      • It must be many years ago when I read about madeleines (the English sort) – I think it might have been a king or someone important who wanted them made to represent his – ahem – friend 🙂 It has amused me ever since (but I do have a very childish brain at times 🙂 )!

        • LOVE “ahem – friend”!!! … probably to do with what sticks in his mind … >>> and retaining elements of a childish brain is certainly the way to go, especially for photographers. 🙂 🙂 🙂

    • Well, Southern Belle >>> that’s only because IT IS WONDERFUL!!! Have to admit though, my having partaken of this repast, cats do tend to trail behind me around the streets, caterwauling, but you can’t have everything. With this Lifestyle Suggestion, I hope I’ve made more apparent the more cultured and rounded sides of my nature, as opposed to those sides which are more generally, indeed unanimously, perceived. The publicist’s post is still vacant … ATP xxxXXX!!!
