Very strong image, Adrian. I like it a lot. The figures look as if they have been cut out of the pavement.

  2. Good turn; great light!

I love this one – tilting it on the diagonal works so well with that zig-zag pattern in the road, and sepia adds just the right amount of warmth.

  4. Wonderful photo Adrian!

    Yea, like it lots.

  6. Another fine Going To Work shot. Generally I’m really not a big fan of ‘street’ photography and tend to shy away from it. Few photographers offer anything new or interesting to the genre. However, I am very much enjoying your people going to work series. I even look forward to seeing them! It’s a great theme and has definitely inspired you to capture some wonderful images. Early morning also offers some great light and interesting conditions. Long may you continue your great work in capturing these moments. Best wishes from sun soaked Sheffield, Mr C 🙂

I’m very grateful indeed for your words of encouragement re Going to Work, Mr C. Yes, this series has been quite a departure for me. I haven’t taken any more pictures in their vein for sometime, in fact I prefer the dark early early mornings of winter, but I still have some as yet unworked upon, as with today’s image. Whether I’ll take any more I don’t know. But thank you very much indeed for your words.

I love “sun soaked Sheffield” – I bet that’s none too common an occurrence, as with Bristol. But its clouded over here now, and there is the forecast – and feel – of thunder in the air. Adrian 🙂

This blog has two pleasures for me - creating the images and hearing from you - so get your thoughts out to the world!
