Then get in amongst these people as they walk to work across Bristol Bridge on this November morning.  Their breath rises in clouds on the cold air, their gaze is lowered and introspective, and the low autumn sun, just rising above the rooftops, is flooding the scene with hard, cheerless light.

  1. I know those cold November walks to work. Effectively captured!

I like this photograph a lot, the triangular composition with the focus on the person walking towards us. The tilt of his head with lowered gaze (curious about his thoughts, the story there) directing the viewer to the person walking away and in the distance completing the triangle the person smoking(?). And back to the man facing us. I love this photograph! Fabulous!

Wow! thank you very much for these detailed thoughts! I can certainly see what you’re referring to, but I have to be honest and say that these are new insights for me – I simply liked the look of the image and decided to post it! I am grateful for your analysis.

I think that the person walking away is on his mobile phone. The person in the distance is smoking. Thank you for your insights. Adrian 🙂

This blog has two pleasures for me - creating the images and hearing from you - so get your thoughts out to the world!
