The best time of day, and in retirement I seem to be becoming even more of a morning person – had a lie in til 0630 today! 😀

Beautiful, Adrian, I guess that’s a classic English morning fog! I’m trying to remember where in LR there’s a “Camera vivid” simulation?

Yes, English fog, but not as thick as it can get! To find Film Simulations in LR, go into the Develop Module and go right down to the bottom of the column on the right on the image, to Camera Calibration – open this, and you’ll see the word “Profile”, and right of that, “Adobe Standard”. Click onto Adobe Standard to open a list of the available Film Simulations.
Now then, the thing to understand is that the Simulations available can vary with both the MAKE and AGE of the camera – so my Fujifilm cameras have different options to my new Olympus – and my older X-T1 has fewer Simulations than my newer X-T2. Any problems, let me know.
Above “Profile” is the word “Process”, and clicking on the option right of that allows you to access older LR commands. A 🙂

stunning photo! My first thought was, if b/w would be fit better… …no, this is great!

Markus, thank you very much! I’m a great black and white fan but, increasingly, I’m opting for colour in instances where B+W! is the first thought – and I firmly believe that some of the more successful colour images are those with the least colour in them. Thanks again. Adrian 🙂

so true, Adrian. I love b/w too, but sometimes it’s the colors which is the carrying element for a good image… …like in this case! Markus
