STILL LIFE 80 – SUNRISE AT THE RAILWAY STATION

The first of sunrise’s colours, and a street light, above the main road at Temple Meads railway station, Bristol.

And as I raised the camera for a second shot – the light went out!  As the Rolling Stones so rightly put it, You can’t always get what you want

But a stroke of luck too – that little cloud head, toppling over to the right, just to the right of the light’s vertical support.

  2. Wonderful photo. Once the weather warms up here (it’s -16c today!) I have to try my hand at early morning , if not sunrise shots😊

Thank you! I enjoy these dark early mornings >>> but problem is, as things warm up and the year moves on, the sunrises get earlier and earlier >>> and so harder to catch. I’m considering doing some really early starts a little later in the year – = ??? out in the car at 3am??? … don’t know if that will materialise, but it might. A

  4. Fine, subtle colors and atmosphere; and the solitary street light, at the end of it’s night-shift is well composed. H
