Mooring line and ring at Trevaunance Cove, near St Agnes, Cornwall; 25 Oct 2012.
Against a pale and almost featureless substrate, the blue cord makes an interupted diagonal across the frame, interacting with the mooring ring en route.
D700 with 70-300 Nikkor at 300mm; 400 ISO; conversion to mono and colour restoration in Silver Efex Pro 2; further processing in Capture NX2; anticlockwise rotation by 90 degrees.
UPDATE: a Minimalist composition, deliberately sparse on content. Conversion to mono helps reduce detail, and restored colour has for once a dominant role as it leads the eye down through the frame.

I love the minimalism of this shot, Adrian, and you have summed the strengths of the image very well.

OH yes… gradually improving and getting my Mojo back for photography, or rather editing photos as that was the bit I didn’t seem able to get interested in..
