SOMERSET LEVELS 246 – DAMP MORNING, TEALHAM

Damp, misty morning, Tealham Moor; 8 Apr 2015.

And a male Linnet, a type of finch.

I thought about processing this in black and white, but was swayed by the faintly warm hue on the bird’s breast – the sole, barely perceptible trace of warmth in a dank and chill scene.

Great stuff – thank you, Paula! Am going to look at a couple of the blogs you recommend, and then subside with some Belgian beer >>> Duvel, my staple tipple (not easy to say!), which can be found in some supermarkets – Tesco, Sainsburys, Asda, Morrisons, etc – try a bottle, room temperature or fridged, and be very careful how you pour it! Nice, I like this one, the colour on the bird, but also the faint hint of green grass on the other side of the fence. 🙂
