BRISTOL 85 – ST NICHOLAS MARKET (MONO)

St Nicholas Market
.
Locked up shop in St Nicholas Market; 24 Feb 2014.

This is a large, covered, permanent market in the city centre.  Parts of it can be accessed around the clock, and so security is tight.

The image shows one of the stalls with its shutter down (on the right), and the lock and chains used to secure the shutter.

Canon G11 PowerShot at 83mm (equivalent); 1600 ISO; Silver Efex Pro 2, starting at the Film Noir 2 preset.

About Adrian Lewis
Photographer working in monochrome, colour and combinations of the two - with a great liking for all sorts of images, including Minimalism, landscapes, abstracts, soft colour, people, movement, nature - I like to be adventurous in my photography, trying new ideas and working in many genres. And I'm fond of Full English Breakfasts and Duvel golden ale, though not necessarily together.

I like the picture, it made me smile.. I wonder how much of the smile was for the picture, and how much of it was for the memory of the market. 😀
