Gold necklaces on mannequins in a jeweller’s window in Burnham-On-Sea, Somerset; 14 Mar 2014.

Two mannequins in a Burnham shop window.  The one on the left “stands” with her left shoulder just behind her companion’s.  And both are adorned with gold necklaces, to which I’ve restored a little of the original colour.  There are two colours in the out of focus backdrop – paler above, darker below.

This could also be seen as a single mannequin wearing a black dress that fastens high across the front to expose the top of the midriff or underlying garment, and which is decorated with gold chains.

D700 with 70-300 Nikkor at 300m; 3200 ISO; Silver Efex Pro 2, starting at the High Contrast Smooth preset.

Clever composition! It left me completely befuddled for a while – which is not a rare thing I have to confess 🙂

  3. At first I thought it was one. That’s why I need the ‘narration’ ;-). Interesting photo.
