Photographer in action!!! on the Somerset Levels; 24 Jul 2012.
Actually its only me, so nothing desperately dynamic. I’m photographing a pile of roadside gravel, which has a few dead leaves lying on it.
There is an earlier and perhaps more effective photo of this scene here .
Nikon D700 with 16mm-35mm VR Nikkor at 16mm; 320 ISO; converted to mono in Silver Efex Pro 2, starting with the Silhouette + 1EV preset; rotated 90 degrees anticlockwise.

I think I prefer the earlier one!
I’m no longer sure which I prefer – but thanks for your thoughts!
Actually, compared to your earlier offering, I find this considerably more effective–or at least a lot more dramatic. It looks like you were perched on the edge of something way too precarious and trying to get that one last shot before you went tumbling, off-balance and out of control.
That’s interesting, yes I see what you mean about dramatic – hadn’t thought of it like that – thanks!
I’ve just looked at the other one and this one made me smile.. you are living up to your name rather more in this one than the other.. can I borrow your “slim” lens please
Haha!!! >>> if I had a “slim” lens I’d be a millionaire – and you could certainly borrow it!
